We’re excited to introduce SightScore, a groundbreaking genetic test now available at Macha Family Eye Care.

SightScore is a simple saliva test designed to assess your individual genetic risk for developing glaucoma—or, if you already have glaucoma, to help determine your risk of progression.

Why SightScore Matters for You

SightScore provides valuable information by analyzing millions of genetic variants to create a personalized glaucoma risk score. This test allows us to take a proactive approach to your eye health, guiding decisions about:
>When you should first be checked for glaucoma (especially for family members of current patients)

>How often you should have eye exams to monitor for glaucoma
>Whether you should continue care with your primary eye doctor or see a glaucoma specialist
>Personalized treatment and follow-up recommendations based on genetic risk

Who Can Benefit from SightScore?

SightScore is ideal for:
Adults (18+) without evidence of glaucoma
Family members of those with glaucoma who may be at risk
People with suspicious but inconclusive signs of glaucoma (glaucoma suspects)
Those already diagnosed with glaucoma looking for additional insights into their condition

The SightScore Process is Quick and Easy:

1️. Talk to Dr. Macha, Dr. Earls or Dr. Grewal about SightScore—if appropriate, they will complete a test referral.
2️.  A saliva sample will be collected in the office and registered for analysis.
3.  Your DNA is analyzed, and a SightScore report is generated.
4️. Dr. Macha will receive your results within 4 weeks and discuss personalized recommendations for your care.

Important Note: SightScore is an out-of-pocket expense and is not covered by Medicare or insurance. Dr. Macha, Dr. Earls or Dr. Grewal will provide information on pricing during your visit.
